Warner Bros. Games recently revealed a new MultiVersus cinematic trailer that showed us the Tasmanian Devil, The Iron Giant, and Velma from Scooby-Doo joining the game’s ever-expanding roster.
The free-to-play game platform fighter videogame is developed by Player First Game and does not have a full launch date announced as of yet. However, an Open Beta will be launched next month in July 2022 on PC and consoles.

MultiVersus is a platform fighter that lets you team up with or against your friends using some of the world’s most iconic characters including Batman, Shaggy, Superman, Bugs Bunny & more. Use unique co-op abilities, find your favorite fighter combos and save the Multiverse!
The entertaining trailer showcased an epic clash of characters with the Tasmanian Devil in his frenzied demeanor in full display alongside Iron Giant’s aerial combat powers. The third character introduced is the smart and intelligent Velma from the Scooby-Doo universe.
Velma isn’t alone as she joins the already confirmed host of heroes and personalities, from Batman (DC) and Shaggy (Scooby-Doo) to Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes) and Arya Stark (Game of Thrones), and more.
The game’s closed alpha is still live and will continue to run until this Thursday, 27th April. The closed alpha features 15 playable characters including Taz and Velma; seven different maps including the Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), and Scooby’s Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo); and a variety of different ways to experience the game including the 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, and The Lab (practice mode).

MultiVersus will be heading over to consoles with an Open Beta on consoles in July 2022, where it will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles and PC with full cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode for robust online competition.
