Electronic Arts have planned a new Need For Speed game this year, however, it won’t be showcased at this year’s E3 2019 event scheduled for next month in June. The Published has shared information saying that the game is in development for a long time, and despite its tradition of being at E3, it will not be shown this time.
EA still has not provided anything about the game yet and it looks like we won’t be getting anything next month as well at E3. It is fair to say that the game is still in development and would need to more time before EA can unveil anything about it.
The news came from the statement that EA Dice’s Ben Walke published on the company’s official site.
Are you going to hear more about the next NFS title? Yes. Is it being released this year? Yes. Will we be doing anything in June? No. Our goal is to deliver a truly memorable high-speed entry into the 25 years of NFS, rather than a series of promotional events. The game matters most – a sentiment we bet you share with us.
Walke also goes on to say that 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the Need for Speed series, however, no details were discussed what is to be expected this year. the last game from the series was Need for Speed Payback which was released back in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Walke does hint a little a detail that we were able to pick up from the statement, where he notes that cars and customization are both notable aspects of the Need For Speed series, this hopefully means that we can expect more of these features in the upcoming game planned for this year.
