Nacon and Big Bad Wolf Studio unveiled a new Vampire the Masquerade Swansong video that focused on the deep RPG mechanics of the game. The video was shown at the recently held Future Games Show Spring Showcase.

You can watch the latest video of the game which shows the RPG in action:

Originally announced back in 2019 at the PDXCon, the game was supposed to release last year in 2021, but had been pushed to 2022. The new date confirmed by the publisher sets it as 19th May 2022.

The game takes place in Boston, where you will get to explore fascinating locations that range from luxury homes to the city’s underground where countless secrets are buried. you take control of 3 vampires that belong to different clans of the Camarilla, the secret society where vampires belong from. Each of these three heroes has a character sheet that you can fully customize. Whether you want to develop your technology skills to hack computers and locks, or you want to be an expert in persuasion and speech to dominate others, the choices are yours to make.

The choices you make in the gameplay will have consequences. The game puts emphasis on the consequences of your actions in both the social interactions with characters and the investigations you make. Analyzing each situation carefully will help you make the best decision, but can have adverse effects on your heroes’ lives and the fate of the Boston Camarilla.

As the game revolves around investigation, you will visit various locations in search for clues, solve puzzles, and interact with several characters in order to progress in the game’s story. However, similar to how narrative RPGs are, the genre pioneered by Big bad Wolf and The council, the game introduces a variety of gameplay mechanics.

Last month, we got the gameplay reveal trailer of the game which showed us the first look into the gameplay features. Post your comments below.
