Nintendo held an Indie World 2020 stream today and we got to see a lot of new reveals, announcements and video game reveals. The 20-minute long showcase revealed plenty of amazing indie titles that we will get on Nintendo Switch in Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2020. We have detailed all announcements below and we have linked the complete video below as well.
Blue Fire
Blue Fire is a brand new game by Graffiti Games and Robi Studios set in the mysterious world called The Void. It is a 3D platformer that focuses on platforming and finding collectibles. It will release on Nintendo Switch first in Summer 2020.
Baldo
Developed by Naps Team, Baldo is a brand new indie game that is essentially a JRPG and highly-inspired by the anime art style. It will also release on Nintendo Switch first as a timed excusive this Summer 2020.
I Am Dead
Annapurna Interactive, Richard Hogg and Hollow Ponds showcased their brand new game I Am Dead which is an intriguing-looking puzzle game set on the island called Shelmerston. The island has a long and strange history. The game features an X-Ray vision mechanic using which you will solve different mysteries in the game. It is slated for release later this year.
Bark
Bark is a brand new side-scrolling, a family-friendly 2D shooter where you play as one of four ferocious animals who are trying to rid the world of deadly robots. Bark is also a timed exclusive which will release first on Nintendo Switch later this year.
Cyanide & Happiness: Freakpocalypse
Cyanide & Happiness: Freakpocalypse is a brand new title by Explosm Games and Serenity Forge set in a post-apocalyptic world where you can Explore the world, solve puzzles and try to survive in what’s left of the world. It is also slated for release in Summer 2020 and will arrive first on Nintendo Switch as a timed exclusive.
Summer in Mara
Summer in Mara is a tropical adventure that revolves around the story of Koa. Koa is a little girl who has to leave her home in order to find the secrets of the ocean. The story is about growing up and protecting nature. You will have your own island in the game to look after and you will also be able to explore the ocean on your boat. The game will have more than 30 islands for you to explore and twenty characters to interact with. Developer by Chibig, Summer in Mara is slated to release this Spring 2020 first on Nintendo Switch.
Quantum League
Quantum League is a first-person shooter with a unique time-twisting mechanic which allows you to team up with your future and past selves in the game. It will have 1v1 and 2v2 game modes. This mechanic will help you change the outcome of the match if you properly use it. It is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in late 2020.
The Good Life
The Good Life is a debt repayment RPG which is set in a rural British town Rainy Woods which is the happiest town in the world. Little does everyone know that this happy town is hiding a tremendous secret. At night, everyone turns into a dog or a cat. Developed by White Owls Inc, The Good Life is releasing on Nintendo Switch in 2020.
The Last Campfire
Developed by Hello Games, the developer behind No Man’s Sky, The Last Campfire is a game about Ember who has become lost and is trying to find her way home solving different puzzles along the way. It is slated to release later in Summer 2020 on Nintendo Switch.
PixelJunk Eden 2
PixelJunk Eden 2 features real-time generating stages based on your actions. You control a little creature called Grimm who is on a journey to save other fellow Grimms and restore the Guardians. It is releasing on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020.
Faeria
Developed by Versus Evil, Faeria is a card battle game in which you not only forge the cards but also the board itself as well. It comes with multiple ways for you to unlock cards and build your perfect battle deck. It is arriving on Nintendo Switch in March 2020 and will come with three cosmetic packs free to download for some time.
Eldest Souls
Eldest Souls is a brand new boss rush battler by Fallen Flag Studio and United Label. Eldest Souls is a game that is all about slaying gods as you unlock new abilities and create your own custom builds. It is releasing on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020.
Blair Witch
Developed by Bloober Team, Blair Witch was originally released on PS4, Xbox One and PC back in Summer 2019 and now a year after, it is finally heading to Nintendo Switch as well. Blair Witch will release on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020.
Ghost of a Tale
Released back in 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Ghost of a Tale is yet another title heading to Nintendo Switch this Spring 2020.
Sky: Children of Light
Released in 2019 on PS4, PC, iOS and Android, Sky: Child of Light is releasing on Nintendo Switch this Summer 2020.
Sky Racket
Sky Racket was previously only available on PC however Double Dash Studios has released a Nintendo Switch release and it is coming out on the console later today.
Superliminal
After a successful debut on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Superliminal is heading to Nintendo Switch this Summer 2020.
Wingspan
Another PC release heading to Nintendo Switch this Spring 2020 is Wingspan.
Dicey Dungeons
Dicey Dungeons was released on PC and mobile devices in 2019 and will now release on Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Bounty Battle
Merge Games’ Bounty Battle, the 2D fighting game, previously released on PC is now making its way to Nintendo Switch. This title features characters from games like Guacamelee!, Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon and Owlboy as they battle each other out. The game will release in Summer 2020 on Nintendo Switch.
Moving Out
Moving Out is the physics-based moving simulator which is the second title in the franchise after Moving. It is slated for release on Nintendo Switch in April 2020.
Exit the Gungeon
Exit the Gungeon is a sequel to the title Enter the Gungeon which features hundreds of weapons, items, shifting rooms and plenty of bosses to kill. Developed by Dodge Core and Singlecore and published by Devolver Digital, the title is set to release on Nintendo Switch later today.
