A new adapter available in Japan allows you to play on the Nintendo Switch with your PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controllers, or vice versa. This new adapter allows Nintendo and Sony controllers to work with their rival systems.
The adapter has been made by a Japanese company called Columbus Circle and is set to release this small device called the Super Converter. This device converts the wireless signals coming from your controllers, which is how you can play with either a PS4 controller of a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.
With this little adapter, you will be able to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild with the PlayStation 4, or if you fancy playing God of War with the Nintendo Switch, then have at it. But that is not all, the device also allows cross-platform use of Nintendo Switch and Wii U Pro Controllers, as well as the Wii Remote and the Nintendo Wii Classic Controller.
The Super Converter only offers two platforms, Nintendo and Sony, while it seems that it will not have a functionality to allow Xbox Controllers to have any accessibility with it. While the device has been proposed by the company, we cannot rule out the possibility of another adapter that would allow such functionality with a Nintendo and Xbox Controller. Or better yet, if we can have all the platforms in one tiny small device.
This is not the first time a device like this has come into the light. The Super Converter comes in a tiny but highly competitive market that has to compete with the success of more established companies like 8BitDo, which offers adapters that work with the same functionality, allowing players to use DualShock 4 on the Nintendo Switch, or Nintendo GameCube controllers wirelessly.
What do you think of the new adapter that allows you to play with either Switch Joy-Cons or DualShock 4 controllers? Are you interested in getting the adapter? Let us know in the comments below.
