Nintendo has released a brand-new update for Nintendo Switch version 10.2.0 which aims at increasing the system stability. Normally, when Nintendo releases a new update for the Switch, we see a few new features make their way into the console but this time around, this is not the case as we are only getting general system stability for improved user experience.
Even the official press release simply states a single line in the patch notes detailing that the update improves user experience by increasing system stability. If you are currently running your Nintendo Switch system, chances are that it might have upgraded to the latest version itself or the download would be complete in the background. You can head over to Settings>System>System Update to find out the status of your update right now. Make sure that your console is connected to the internet.
Nintendo has been quite busy these past few days as we got to see many new announcements and reveals about upcoming titles. The most prominent upcoming title is clearly Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity that is a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This week also sees a brand-new release for Nintendo Switch Super Mario 3D All-Stars which is essentially a combination of three previous Mario titles. Future releases for Nintendo Switch also include Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit that will allow you to race your favorite Mario Karts live in your home.
The last update for Nintendo Switch was version 10.0.0 and it added the handy button re-mapping feature to the console. It also added the feature to allow transferring game data from the system to an SD card to make more space on the system. Players also got six brand new avatars from Animal Crossing: New Horizons to set for their profile. There are still plenty of features that fans are demanding for their consoles such as custom themes and more. We will still have to wait for them to arrive at this point.
We recently got some rumors about a new and more powerful Nintendo Switch console coming next week as well.
