Yokai weapons are special in the sense that they will allow you to deal extra Ki damage to opponents. In addition, it also adds up the Corruption stats effect against any enemy that you use the weapon on. As each weapon adds up the Corruption, the more vulnerable the opponents will be to Ki and Yokai force damage.

Yokai weapons are even more powerful when they help your Sentience Gauge fill up after using them. When your Sentience is full, you will then be in the Awakened State, allowing you to increase the power of your weapon.
