NVIDIA has finally unveiled the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card which becomes the official successor to the previous-gen RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 3080 Ti is the brand-new flagship graphics card of the Ampere lineup and provides 50% faster performance than the 2080 Ti and 2x the performance of the two-generation old 1080 Ti.

The RTX 3080 Ti first leaked out quite a while ago and now NVIDIA has finally revealed the card officially in all its glory. NVIDIA says that the RTX 3080 Ti aims to take the crown of the fastest graphics card for 4K gaming.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition graphics card features the PG132-SKU18 PCB and the GA102-225-KD-A1 GPU. The GA102-225 GPU features 80 SM units that translate to 10240 CUDA cores. The GPU has a base clock speed of 1365 MHz which boosts to 1665 MHz. The RTX 3080 Ti features 34 shader Cores, 67 RT-Cores, and 273 Tensor Cores.

The RTX 3080 Ti will feature 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is said to retain the same memory speeds as the RTX 3080 at 19 Gbps, unlike the 19.5 Gbps speeds of the RTX 3090.  The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be using a 384-bit bus interface which equals a total bandwidth of 912 GB/s. This large bus interface will help provide higher memory bandwidth.

The RTX 3080 Ti has a TGP of 350 W which is a bit higher than RTX 3080, which had a TGP of 320 W. According to NVIDIA, the RTX 3080 Ti is as fast as the RTX 3090 but has half the VRAM of the RTX 3090 and also has the LHR technology enabled which halves the hash rate of crypto mining algorithms.

Coming to the design, the RTX 3080 Ti FE has a similar design to the RTX 3080 FE. The card is powered by a single 12-pin Microfit connector. Display outputs include 1 HDMI 2.1 and three DP 2.0 connectors.

The RTX 3080 Ti has a price of $1,199 USD and will be available for purchase starting from 3rd June. Nvidia has also revealed the new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
