RTX 3080 Ti Performance

Benchmarks for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 have leaked online and according to them, the RTX 3080 is allegedly 30% faster than the RTX 2080Ti. The RTX 3080 has allegedly been tested by Chinese tech media outlet TecLab. The outlet posted a video showcasing several benchmarks and game performance tests for the card. The video has now been removed but the benchmarks were captured by Videocardz.

Currently, the RTX 3080 samples are only available to the press after signing strict NDAs. The leakers claim to own a sample and a working driver for the RTX 3080. According to the leaked benchmarks, the RTX 3080 on average is 30% faster than the RTX 2080ti & 50% faster than the RTX 2080 Super.

The RTX 3080 is dubbed as the flagship card of the 3000 series by NVIDIA. In the leaked video, the GeForce RTX 3080 was benchmarked in a range of AAA gaming titles and also synthetics which include a range of 3DMark tests.

TecLab performed the benchmarks with the GeForce 456.16 drivers which seem to be the official test driver for the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. The test setup featured an Intel Core i9-10900K and 32 GB of DDR4 memory (4133 MHz at CL17 timing).

In 3DMark Firestrike, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 is around 25% faster than RTX 2080 Ti and 45% faster than the RTX 2080 SUPER in the Performance and Extreme tests. This difference goes to 36% in the Ultra 4K preset.

In other range of benchmark tests, the RTX 3080 performed better than the RTX 2080Ti somewhere in the range of 24 % to 45% and 43% to 64% for the RTX 2080 Super.

In Gaming Performance tests, the Chinese leaker tested the Card on a wide range of AAA titles including Far Cry 5, Borderlands 3, Forza Horizon 4, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Horizon Zero Dawn, Shadow of The Tomb Raider, Control, and Death Stranding. In these games, the RTX 3080 performs more than 60% better than the RTX 2080 Super. In titles that support DLSS, the RTX 3080 yields up to 70-80% better performance than with DLSS Off which is huge!

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 will be launching to consumers on the 17th of September, 2020. The reference Founders Edition variant will cost $699 US.
