This Journey to the Savage Planet Alien Tablets Guide will show you all the locations where you can get the Alien Tablet collectibles in the game. These collectibles are part of a side quest called Alien Cinema, and completing the side quest will give you “The Answer is 42” trophy/achievement.
In total, there are 10 Alien Tablets in various locations. Once you find one, you have to scan it to count it as collected.

Below we have detailed all the locations of the Alien Tablets in the game.
Alien Tablet #1 – Outside the Javelin
The first Alien Tablet will be in the Outside the Javelin location, specifically in the frozen cave section. This location will be near the landing site. You will have to go through the frozen caves and as you exit, you will see a large mammoth skull to the left.
Head inside the skull through the opening at its mouth and continue straight until you come across the first door on the left. You will require a Shock Fruit to keep the door open. Head inside and scan the Tablet to your left.
Alien Tablet #2 – Planetary Flotsam
To get this Tablet, you need to go to the Planetary Flotsam Location. You can fast travel to this location by using the Alien Teleporter. From the spawn location, you need to head southwest. The Tablet will not be that far, but it will be on a floating island.
You don’t need to go to the platform, as the tablet can be scanned from some distance away. Either way, you can double jump to its location.
Alien Tablet #3 – Festering Chasm
This tablet will be in the Festering Chasm location, which is close to the previous tablet location. You need to head north, through the cave with the large mushrooms. You will find some enemies here, but you can outrun and ignore them.
As you get near the location, you will find an opening leading to a cave. This part is a little tricky as you will need to grapple from one barnacle to the other. You will also require Grapple Seeds to throw on the barnacles and allow you to grapple. Continue and you will reach the end of the cave where the Alien Tablet will be.
Alien Tablet #4 – Fungi of Si’ned VII
The next location will be near the Fungi of Si’ned VII Alien Teleporter. From the spawn location, head north towards the altar. Once you reach the altar, you will find a large mushroom that will have climbing platforms behind it.
Jump up and you will come to a location with a red fruit hanging from a tree. Right below the fruit is a small hole that will drop down straight to the Alien Tablet.
Alien Tablet #5 – Xerophilous Landing
This Alien Tablet will be close to the Xerophilous Landing location. From the fast travel point, head north. Right at the edge of the cliff, you will find a platform down below. Jump to it and face west.
You will now see a large cave entrance that you can double jump or grapple to. The entrance will have a door that will require a Shock Fruit to stay open. Head inside this area, drop down the hole and past the white laser lights. You will then reach the Tablet location after a flight of stairs.
Alien Tablet #6 – Repaired Teleporter
From this fast travel location, you need to head southeast. There will be some cactus plants as an indication of where you need to go. You will them come to a narrow valley that you need to go through.
As you reach the end of this area, you need to turn left and to the path that will be next to the edge of the mountain. On your left, you will find a small crack blocked by the purple crystals. Break open and head inside the cave. You will need to grapple along the way to reach the end where the Table is located.
Alien Tablet #7 – Tears of T’bo
Go to this fast travel point and you will find a small waterfall and pond to the west. Facing north, you need to jump up to a platform right next to the waterfall. You will now see large rocks that will be floating in the air below you. Continue north by double jumping on these rocks.
On the last rock, you will find barnacles where you can grapple to. Grapple and then face east where you will find the Tablet hidden in the face of the mountain.
Alien Tablet #8 – Moist Vestibule
Go to this fast travel location and then go east. Continue down this hallway and you will come across a hole. You just need to jump down to the first floor and make sure you don’t end up all the way down.
On this floor, you will find a dark pathway after the stairs, covered in plant roots. Go to the top where you will find an entrance that takes you behind. This is where you will find the Alien Tablet.
Alien Tablet #9 – Moist Vestibule
From the same location as your previous collectible, you now need to head down another floor. This area will have lava shooting from various places. One such place is facing east where there will be a small opening behind the lava that you can enter.
This new area will contain the Alien Table behind a rock and waiting to be scanned by you.
Alien Tablet #10 – Moist Vestibule
There is another Alien Tablet in this location, and it is the third and final one you can find here. Now you need to head all the way down the hole to the last level. After fighting the boss, you will find a fallen pillar.
The tablet will be here in the main area, but you have to look up to one of the cylinders. A Tablet will be hidden in the dark.
