This guide will detail all the locations where you can find the Shell Stones in order to get access to The Earth Temple.
Paper Mario: The Origami King Shell Stones Guide
The first thing you need to do to get all the Shell Stones is to go to the Overlook Mountain. This will be close to the Earth Temple and the main location where you will find all the stones. We have already mentioned that there are four different colored Shell Stones at various locations, now lets see how to actually get them.
Green Stone
The Green Stone is given to you by Monty Mole, however, it requires you to bargain him for the stone. Monty Mole can be identified with the number of Koopas around him. When you go to Monty Mole, he will give you a buy price for the Green Stone.
You can bargain Monty Mole to drop the price of coins to buy the Green Shell Stone, but do not go any lower than 500. Otherwise, the stone will be sold to Koopas who will charge you thrice the amount of coins for it.
Yellow Stone
This stone requires you to have the 1000 Fold arms to begin with. Head over to the northeast part of this area, just to the left of the Fishing Spot, where you will find a cliff. You can hit this with your 1000 Fold arms and then peel it to reveal the Yellow Shell Stone behind it.
Blue Stone
In the same area as before, head to the Fishing spot by the pier and start fishing. While there will be many other fishes in the water, you have to look for the one that is bigger and unusual than the rest.
Now all you are left with is to defeat it and collect the Blue Stone.
Red Stone
To get the Red Shell Stone, you need to go to the top of the mountain in the northwestern part of this area. Here you will find three Shy guys tossing it around and passing it to each other. You need to disrupt them by knocking them over and catching the stone.
