Owlcat Games has announced that the Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming isometric CRPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is starting next month. The game is based on the Paizo’s famous tabletop RPG and the adventure path of the same name. The campaign will go live on February 4, 2020, and additional details will be shared with the players once the campaign kicks off.
Upon launch of the campaign, Owlcat Games will share additional screenshots, enemy concept art along with details about the new Crusade Commander feature which will allow you to experience and lead a military campaign of mythic proportions. This is the second CPRG set in the same world of the tabletop RPG with the first one being Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
The new title will expand the universe of the franchise and bring an immersive crusade for players where they witness the fight between demons and mortals. You will play an important part in the story of the fight as you will be able to steer the conflict and choose from a different number of Mystic Paths. Each path will have its own unique effects on the game and the narrative of the title.
The new installment in the franchise will come with a brand new revised Kingdom Management system which will go alongside the new setting and narrative of Wrath of the Righteous. Creative Director of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Alexander Mishulin comments:
Pathfinder: Kingmaker featured kingdom building, which allowed fans to feel as if they were actually developing a country and gave us the opportunity to see companion characters from a different angle. The kingdom building was well-received by many players. This encouraged us to introduce a similar feature into the Wrath of the Righteous.
He also added that player decisions will play a massive role as they lead their crusade. Players will have complete freedom of recruiting and upgrading their armies, finding powerful artifacts by exploring ruins and capturing and holding strategic points. You will not be alone in your quest however as you will have companions as well which will help you in different ways throughout the game.
The developer has also released some brand new in-game screenshots which showcase different locations that you will be able to visit when the game comes out. You can check them out below.
The Kickstarter campaign for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will go live on February 4, 2020, at 8 AM PST. You can check back at GamesHedge as we will keep you updated with more information on Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous as the developer reveals it.
