Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Aims for Spanish Localization, New Class for Final Kickstarter Days

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous 1 Million

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous started its Kickstarter campaign earlier this month and has been a huge success. So far, the game has managed to generate nearly $1.3 million when its initial goal was $300,000. Seeing the huge success, the developers quickly revealed many stretch goals for the game and most of them have been met as well. However, Owlcat Games recently revealed that their next stretch goal for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous includes Spanish localization and a brand new class added to the game.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is based on Paizo’s famous tabletop RPG and the adventure path of the same name. The game will allow you to choose from eight different Mythic Paths, lead a crusade and become a hero in a world infested by demons. Because of its fanbase, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous’ Kickstarter campaign has achieved its eleven of its stretch goals before March 11 and now the developers are rooting for the twelfth stretch goal of the title.

With the twelfth stretch goal, the developers will not only add localized Spanish language in the game but also a brand new race called Oreads. Oreads are the stoic and contemplative descendants of outsiders from the Elemental Plane of Earth. The developer has also announced that apart from getting rewards mentioned on the Kickstarter page, backers who support the campaign today will be able to vote for another non-human race from ratfolk, catfolk or kitsune (fox folk).

Owlcat Games’ Head of Studio Oleg Shpilchevskiy says:

Currently, our script for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous contains more than 1.2 million words. This translation is a complex task that we want done right so Spanish-speaking people are pleased with the final product.

So far, backers have managed to unlock some really cool stretch goals. These include two new Mythic Paths (Swarm-That-Walks) and Gold Dragon), two new classes (Warpiest and Skald), evolving animal companions, a ‘thiefling’ companion named Woljif Jefto, a select soundtrack performed by a symphony orchestra and an additional archetype. Gameplay-wise certain goals have also been unlocked such as mounted combat, dismemberment, and Double Reactivity.

The Kickstarter campaign for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous ends on March 11, 2020, so there are still some days left if you want to support the game and help the developer reach the new stretch goals adding a brand new race and Spanish localization. The planned release date for the title has been set for June 2021.
