Our Pokemon Sword and Shield Fast Travel Guide details everything that you need to know about unlocking and using fast travel in the game.

How to Fast Travel in Pokémon Sword and Shield

To unlock fast travel in Pokémon Sword and Shield, you will need to first play through the main story to a certain bit. Complete the initial missions and keep playing until you have to go and battle the first gym leaders located in Hulbury and Turffield. Once unlocked, you will always have access to the Flying Taxi.

However, you cannot travel to the rest of the Galar region using the Flying Taxi yet. For this, you will need to first visit the locations in person. As you keep visiting more and more places, you will be able to fast travel to these locations later using the Flying Taxi. Remember that after you’ve unlocked the Flying taxi initially, you will need to visit the remaining locations on foot before you unlock fast travel to those locations. The best bit is that it is completely free to use.
