After AMD’s official unveiling of its Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB graphic card, third-party vendors have started to reveal their own versions for the graphic card. PowerColor is the first company to unveil its custom AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB graphics card. The card will be part of its ‘Hellhound’ lineup. It was also spotted online earlier.
The Radeon RX 6700 XT Hellhound features a different design from PowerColor’s usual philosophy. PowerColor cards usually feature a red color scheme, but the Hellhound card will feature a blue color scheme.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is powered by the full Navi 22 XT GPU that features 40 compute units. That equals 2560 stream processors/cores. The cores have a base clock speed of 2321 MHz, a Game Clock of 2424 MHz, and a Boost clock of 2581 MHz. The GPU also features 40 Ray accelerators for raytracing capabilities on the RDNA 2 based GPUs. The card has a TDP of 230W.
The RX 6700 XT graphic card also has the newly introduced Infinity cache and Smart Access memory features. It contains 96 MB of Infinity cache. The reference model has an 8+6 pin power connector configuration but the 6700 XT Hellhound will have dual 8-pin power connectors, which may indicate that the card has a higher TDP than the 230W of the reference model.
Coming to the design, the PowerColor AMD RX 6700 XT has a light blue/aqua color scheme which is different from the company’s red accents seen on the Red Devil and Red Dragon series. The backplate features a devilish-looking hound that coincides with the Hellhound namesake. The hound is inside a blue triangle and the eye is lit up with a blue LED. The card seems to have blue LED accents based on the teaser.
Currently, there is no word when the card will be available for purchase and what the pricing for the card will be. We will have to wait a bit longer for this information.
