Psychonauts 2 Health Guide

Below we have detailed some tips about healing, and how you can get more health.

How to Heal

Health in Psychonauts is called Mental Health, which is indicated by the three pink mental health meter (brains) on the top left of your screen. The more hits you take, the more mental health is depleted from the meter. Each of the three brains has 4 hits until the brain is empty. This means that each hit will drain a ¼ of health from one brain.

The most basic way to heal yourself is by shooting the green containers throughout all the areas in your adventure. These containers drop green health items that restore a little bit of your health as you collect more.

Another way you can heal yourself is by using health items like the PSI Pops, obtained from the vending machines. These come in very handy, especially when the green health containers are running out in the area you are in.

How to Increase Max Health

As you progress in the story, you will require more health, which means that you need more Mental Health. To increase the number of brains, you need to find Half-a-Minds. Collecting two of these will make one brain and add it to your Mental Health.

The more Half-a-Minds you find, the more you can increase your max health.
