Ubisoft Announces Rainbow Six: Siege Free Weekend Across All Platforms

Rainbow Six: Siege Free

Rainbow Six: Siege will be free to play this weekend starting tomorrow March 5 and will run till March 8. The free game will be available across all platforms, which means you can play it on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game will include all of the maps and the modes that you will be able to try this weekend. You can start the pre-load right now and download the game as it gets ready to be free tomorrow. If you are just starting with the game, any progress you make this weekend will carry over to the full game if you purchase it.

Rainbow Six: Siege is one of the most popular games by Ubisoft. The game has amassed more than 55 million players across all platforms. The best thing about the free weekend is not only that you get all the maps and modes unlocked, but you can also play with all the Operators this week. You will be able to play all the Attackers and Defenders that would otherwise be locked and require you to spend in-game credits to purchase.

Last month, Ubisoft had announced that the game would be ready for the next generation of consoles from day one. In an interview to Windows Central, the Creative director of the game Leroy Athanassof said,

For Siege, our target is to be available right at launch. Let’s be clear here, there is no ‘phase two’ or no ‘reset.’ Your [app] icon remains the same. Why I can’t give you a date is because those dates are, in the end, on the people doing the next-gen consoles. What I can tell you is that we are going to be on [the consoles] from launch. When they will release the consoles; but it’s up to them to agree that. For Siege, our target is to be available right at launch.
