There was no disclosure of why Rockstar is releasing a one week early pre-load for the game. However, our good guess is the huge size of the game. The game has 105GB file size on PlayStation 4, while on Xbox One the file size is 88GB.

Since we know the full size of the game is over 100GB on PlayStation 4 and 88GB on Xbox One, supposedly, a rumor says the game will come out in 2 discs. This is according to a leaked Japanese box art image that has taken up the Red Dead Redemption community with storm.
This will mark the first launch title to feature two discs in current generation of consoles. There were few other games that came out in two discs, but they were remastered and definitive editions.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will get a new launch trailer anytime today. The game releases eight years after the release of the first game. Rockstar has put a lot of effort in making of Red Dead Redemption 2. This is even evident from the 1200 voice actors that worked on the game. Also, there are almost 300,000 animations in the game.
Players of the Red Dead Redemption 2 community will also enter into beta stages of its online mode. The online mode will release one month post-launch to the game. The online mode may resemble a lot with GTA Online in terms of features and gameplay style. However, at present nothing of sort is known for sure.
