How to Obtain Dragon Heart
Dragon Heart is one of the most important relics in Remnant: From the Ashes. It will allow you to heal yourself. However, it is tied to the story and you will automatically get it quite early in the game. When you first get the Dragon Heart, it will allow you to heal yourself three times. No matter how low your health is, after using it, it will heal quite a large chunk of your health. It is recharged automatically whenever you visit a checkpoint.
Upgrade Dragon Heart
You have the opportunity to upgrade your Dragon Heart and increase its uses in the game allowing you to heal yourself more than just three times. When you reach the chapel, you will be tasked with rescuing the Root Mother. Keep playing the main story of the game and you will eventually arrive at this location.
Once you have managed to free up the Root Mother, return to Ward 13 and go the room next to the Crystal room. Inside you will find Root Mother who will be now a vendor. You can now upgrade your Dragon Heart by interacting with the vendor. You will need 1000 Scrap, 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1 Simulacrum for each upgrade. You can find Lumenite Crystals and Simulacrum from defeated enemies.
Once you have enough resources, go to the Root Mother in Ward 13 and purchase a Dragon Shard that will upgrade your Dragon Heart and increase the number of times you can use your Dragon Heart to heal yourself before it runs out. Make sure you keep enough resources on your hand because these resources can also be consumed while crafting other items such as weapons and armor.
