Mods Guide – Remnant: From the Ashes

Our Remnant: From the Ashes Mods Guide details everything that you need to know about mods in Remnant: From the Ashes.

What are Mods?

Mods are special attack buffs or modes that can be equipped on your weapons. Each weapon in the game comes with a mod slot where you can equip a mod of your choice. When you have a mod equipped, it may be passive or active in nature.

Obtaining Mods

Obtaining mods is not a difficult task in Remnant: From the Ashes. You can purchase mods from the mods vendor in Ward 13 or you can also explore the world of the game and find mods in chests and other loot areas.

Equipping Mods

This is yet again a very simple method. Go to the weapon on which you want to apply a mod on. Once you choose the weapon, open the mod menu and select the mod that you want to equip. This is as simple as this.

Using Mods

Depending on the mods, they might be active or passive. Passive mods will always grant you their bonuses however if the mod is active, you will first need to charge it. You can charge the mods by killing enemies with the mod equipped on the weapon. You can track the progress of the charge by looking at the white bar around the weapon’s equipped mod at the lower right corner of the screen.

Once the charge is complete, press the assigned button and you will be able to execute the special attack or the buff depending on the mod. You can charge a mod and then store the charge in your inventory to charge another mod as well. You can use this trick to charge multiple attack buffs at the same time and then unleashing hell on your enemies.
