Take the Role of the Devil in Cyanide’s Turn-Based Game Rogue Lords

Rogue Lords Beta

Cyanide along with Leikir Studio has just announced that they are developing a roguelike turn-based game called Rogue Lords, where you play as the Devil. The game is currently in development and is planned for a launch this year in Autumn for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The French video game development studio is well known for titles like Call of Cthulhu, Cycling Manager, Styx: Master of Shadows, and more.

The game is set in a gloomy 17th century New England where you will find both diabolical entities and mortals existing side by side. You take the role of the Devil, who is fresh out of a terrible defeat and is weakened as a result. This is where you take the role of the Devil, seek the return of all his powers and spread the corruption throughout the world.

“Rogue Lords is a game we came up with several years ago with Jérémie Monedero, the Game Director”, said Camille Lisoir, Artistic Director at Cyanide. “We are delighted to see the project become reality. We have fantastic synergy with the talented team at Leikir Studio and we can’t wait to reveal our diabolical world.”

To aid him in his dark plans, the Devil comes with a team comprised of illustrious Disciples of Evil which include Dracula, Bloody Mary, the White Lady, and Baron Samedi.

When you begin the game, you will explore a 3D map and chose how you wreak havoc and chaos during the various interactions you have with other characters in the game. With his trusty Disciples of Evil, you can use them in combat and use their skills as best as you can to overcome your enemies and anyone that stands against you.

If you lose any time, the game will reset and you will have to start all over again with a new fresh run. The Devil will need to make wise decisions to avoid any defeat that stop his evil plans. The Devil also has another trick up his sleeve as a last resort, where you can call upon the Devil’s special powers and cheat via the game interface. This in return can turn the whole situation on its head.
