Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas Returning for a Second Edition

Roland Garros, BNP Paribas and BIGBEN have announced that the second edition of Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas is starting later in February. It is an e-sport competition which is played on the Tennis World Tour video game and the winner of this tournament will be crowned the champion.

The eSports Tournament is officially kicking off in February with qualifying round taking place in ten different countries all around the world. The winners from these countries will participate in the international final which will take place during the Roland Garros tournament.

Compared to the first tournament, this year’s tournament is much bigger and will also some returning countries from the previous tournament. USA is joining eight countries from last year which include France, China, India, Brazil, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy and Spain.

Rolland Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas is also planning to host some national finals off-court at some of tour’s tournament locations such as Internazionali BNL di Roma and the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes de Lyon. Apart from this, BNP Paribas premises such as Shanghai, Bombay, Frankfurt and London will also host some national finals.

Qualifying rounds are starting on Tennis Wolrd Tour’s online mode on PS4 and everyone can join in. The tournament will pick eight best players from initial qualifying round and they will play and try to win the top spot in the national final for their country. These winners will participate in the grand final and decide the winner of Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas.

Tennis World Tour – Roland-Garros Edition is coming out on May 16, 2019 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The players will get special access to a pre-release version of the game allowing them to discover the features of the game way before everyone else gets to play the game.

The final of the tournament will be held during the Parisian Grand Slam which is specially built for events and offers one of the best immersive experiences and atmosphere. The total reward of this tournament is €10,000 out of which half of the amount will go to the winner and the rest will be distributed among the participants.
