Orichalcum Pictures has just confirmed and announced the release date of its VR title Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis. The VR title is set to release next month on December 8, 2020 for the Steam VR and Oculus. The hybrid production company which is founded to explore archaeology through the multimedia lens is all set to bring the mysterious city to real life.
The studio previously announced the VR title last month when it released a teaser trailer alongside the announcement. It was last month where we learned the intention of the developer to bring the mystical influences with authentic archaeological research surrounding the mystery of the lost city, Atlantis.
A gameplay trailer was also shared by the developer. Take a look at the supernatural powers that the player will have in the game:
Clovis Rossillon of Orichalcum Pictures had this to say,
Our team spent countless hours researching the work of scientists and ancient Greek philosophers in order to craft an exciting yet believable version of Atlantis. We can’t wait for fans of adventure games and historical fiction to embark on their own Iliads and Odysseys soon.
So what can you expect in the game? Players will be able to immerse themselves in this dreamlike, but semi-realistic world that is designed with Plato’s depiction of the city in mind. Environments are rife with detail inspired by ancient Greece and Egypt civilizations. Magnificent landmarks and machines indicate how advanced and sophisticated the lost paradise may have been.
You will have to use complex mechanisms to solve tricky puzzles, gain supernatural powers of attraction and repulsion to use and move objects to your benefit. Your choices will shape the adventure and the consequences that come from them, and take you to one of the four endings of the game.
