Developer Behind Shadow of the Colossus Remaster Teases PS5 Game

Shadow of the Colossus Developer PS5

Bluepoint, the developer behind the Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, has teased their upcoming PS5 game. Bluepoint is best known for bringing back many PS2 and PS3 games to PS4 in the form of Remakes and Remasters and some of them were amazing titles. Shadow of the Colossus was the best one among the bunch although many others such as Gravity Rush Remastered and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection were also good.

We now know that Sony’s next-generation console is called PS5 and it is slated to release next year during the holiday season. This means that developers are also working on launch titles for PS5 or titles that will release some time later on PS5. One of the developers working for a PS5 title at this point is Bluepoint who shared details of their next project with Wired. The team over at Bluepoint has confirmed to Wired that they are working on a ‘big game’ for PS5 however apart from this, no further details were shared by the developer.

At this point, the most obvious option is a remake of Demon’s Souls for PS5. We have heard a lot of rumors here and there and a former IGN reporter teased during one of his podcasts that a possible Demon’s Souls remaster is incoming. Obviously this is not confirmed by any official sources at this point but since we already have a Dark Souls: Remastered, it will not make any sense for Demon’s Souls to make a comeback as well.

Bluepoint is now confirmed to be working on a PS5 title which could be a brand new IP or could simply be a remake or remaster of an old PS title. We would like to go with a Demon’s Souls Remake because it would make perfect sense to bring back the original game which opened the way for the entire Soulsborne franchise which followed it with Dark Souls.
