Developer Binary Tree Studio has announced that its latest project team-based dungeon-crawler roguelike Siege of Dungeon is now available on PC in early access. Siege of Dungeon spent three years in development and now the final phase of the development will be completed in early access alongside fan feedback. With its early access launch, Siege of Dungeon features brand-new characters, new relics to collect, four classes, thirty skills, and a lot more for players to experience.
Siege of Dungeon revolves around a foreboding city with a dark castle that has appeared out of nowhere. Every country in the world is sending their troops to investigate however scholars find out that the castle was meant to be sealed away for eternity. With its sudden appearance out of nowhere, everyone now knows about the treasures hiding underneath them and they are now getting ready to infiltrate it. You step into the game as one of these soldiers who are about to venture into the castle and find out its secrets.
The gameplay of Siege of Dungeon is like any other roguelike combined with turn-based RPG mechanics. Each run is unique in the game which is randomly generated and every room inside the castle is always different from the previous one as well. Apart from randomly generated levels, the game also features randomly generated events, enemies, traps and more. You will need to be quick on your feet and be prepared for anything that comes in your way to survive by using over 140 relics found in the game.
Key features of Siege of Dungeon include:
- Charge Into the Dungeon: Dive into the randomly generated Underworld. Your decisions will determine various locations of monsters and events that could lead your team to crisis or victory.
- Explore by Yourself or with your Team: In vast interconnected dungeons, only adjacent characters can fight as a party. When surrounded by enemies, should you take on monsters by yourself or as a group? Should you split up to explore more ground or stick together?
- Learn from the Past: Uncover relics and skills from adventurers’ pasts. Their unfulfilled ambitions will allow you to combine ever-changing battle strategies. When combining these two factors, use spectacular “burst” attacks to annihilate enemies that stand in your way.
- Discover the Story of the Dungeon: After a foreboding castle appeared suddenly, each country sent troops to investigate. They uncovered a huge labyrinth underneath. Monsters lurk there, but so does a horde of valuables. Many strong adventurers are still drawn there despite the rumors of the many dangers lurking below.
If you are interested in jumping into Siege of Dungeon, you can do so by heading to its Steam page where you can add the game to your wishlist as well if you want to get it after its full release or after it is beefed up with additional content. Additionally, you can also download a free demo of the game and try it out before jumping into the full game to see if it really clicks with you. There is no word yet about the full release of Siege of Dungeon however the developer wants to release the full release in early 2023 as well.
