Soulcalibur VI – Types of Throws
There are three types of throws in Soulcalibur VI, each of these throw has its own escape method. The types of throws are as follow:
Forward Throw
This throw allows you to move the opponent forward from the perspective of the attacker. If the opponent has been backed up to the ring out, performing a Forward Throw will knock them out of the ring.
The keys for Forward throw are: A+G
Back Throw
The Back Throw is generally the opposite of Forward Throw, where you will switch sides with an opponent, throwing them behind you.
The keys to perform a Back Throw are: Back+A+G
Command Throw
The command Throws are special throws that are specific to each character. These unique throws will differ from character to character. Some Command throw will count as Forward Throw, and others will be considered Back Throws.

There are two types of Throws that you can break in Soulcalibur VI.
Forward Throw Escape
To escape a Forward Throw, you must escape as soon as your opponent is about to throw you. Any attack button can be pressed to break a Forward Throw.
The keys to perform Forward Throw Escape are: A, B, or K
Back Throw Escape
To escape from a Back Throw, you must escape as soon as your opponent is about to throw you from the back. In order to execute a successful Back Throw Escape, any attack button can be pressed with the back button.
The keys to perform a Back Throw Escape are: Back+A, Back+B, or Back+K
