After its release on PC and consoles last year, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is now making its way to mobile devices as well. THQ Nordic’s family company HandyGames has announced its partnership with Nickelodeon in order to bring the game to both iOS and Android devices as a premium title.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is slated for release on mobile devices on January 21, 2020, and will feature the complete game in all of its remastered glory. Check out the mobile launch trailer for the game below:
If you do not know, the original title SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was released back in 2003 and a remaster of the game was released last year by THQ Nordic for PC and consoles. The remaster featured the whole game and tons of new mechanics and features making the game a proper fit for the modern consoles.
Now, the mobile game about to release later this month will also include all of the features and mechanics of the full PC and console release. The mobile version will support multiple gamepads along with optimized controls for playing with a touch screen.

- Curb Plankton’s evil scheme to rule Bikini Bottom with his army of rusty robots
- Experience memorable encounters with countless characters from the series

- Ravel in childhood memories with the characters’ original voices from the TV series
The game is now available for pre-order on the Apple Appstore as well as pre-register on Google Play. Upon release, the full game will set you back $10.
