A new update of Stardew Valley has been teased by the game’s developer Eric Barone. In a tweet, Barone teased a few key features that will be coming in the update v1.4 of the game. This includes a new farm map, more multiplayer options and separate bank accounts along with other additions.
Barone also shared a screenshot of Four Corners, which apparently is only a fraction of what is to come in the update. This is the new farm map that we know very little about other than the screenshot. the screenshot showcases a collection of chests in the middle, a greenhouse at the top, and a cave entrance on the left.
Hey everyone, just wanted to share this screenshot from the upcoming 1.4 updates. It’s a big one, & this image only reveals a fraction of what’s coming. Featured here is a new farm map called Four Corners that’s perfect for the much requested “separate money” option in multiplayer.
Apart from the new map, players will now have separate bank accounts. In Stardew Valley, players in the multiplayer game share the same wallet. This means that when a player buys something, the cost is taken from the shared bank account. Players had already called for such an option since a very long time, though it had not been made available up until now.
Simultaneously, the next free content update (1.4) is coming along very well, it’s packed with new stuff and “quality of life” features that will make playing Stardew smoother and more fun. 1 example is the ability to pay Marlon to recover a lost item when you “die” in the mines!
Additionally, Barone also stated that the update will add numerous “quality of life” features. Such as, players will now be able to pay Marlon to recover a lost item when they die in the mines.
Unfortunately, a release date for the update has not been confirmed by Barone, however, a tease like this suggests that it is not far off when it starts to roll out.
