Offworld Industries and Sony Pictures Consumer Products have finally announced the Early Access launch of its upcoming squad-based co-op game, Starship Troopers: Extermination. The game’s Early Access version will launch next week on May 17, 2023.
The Early Access Launch of Starship Troopers: Extermination is a perfect chance for players to check out the game through its early development stages, and give feedback to the developers on what features and mechanics can be polished or added to the game before its full launch.
Starship Troopers: Extermination was announced late last year in November 2022. We already know that the developer has increased its 12-player action to a more frenetic 16-player action, making it a crucial component of the evolving process of the game. With the Early Access period, Offworld Industries plans to take as much player input and add content until the game is ready to launch in 1.0
The Early Access version of the game will be available for $24.99 upon release. This is a special introductory price which is subject to increase as more content will be added ahead of the 1.0 launch.
Right from day one of the Early Access, the game will already boast both strategy and combat-oriented gameplay. Players can construct and reinforce bases of operations while not in heavy combat, creating a safe structure to respawn, regroup and rearm themselves in preparation for Bug-exterminating co-op play. These bases are protected from enemy spawns, and base-building isn’t linked to a specific class or rank, so Deep Space Vanguards of every stripe can utilize these structures.
If you are unaware of the game, Starship Troopers: Extermination puts players on an all-out assault against the Arachnid menace. Team up with a squad of 16 players and as Trooper in the Deep Space Vanguard. This is an elite Special Forces group within the Mobile infantry. Work together to complete objectives, acquire various resources, build and defend your base of operations and then work on going to the extraction point to escape together.
The battles in Starship Troopers: Extermination are going to be intense, but as hardened warriors that are ready to stand for all humanity, the United Citizen Federation is not going to leave an inch of the ground safe for the Arachnids.
