Sunshine Manor Development

Hound Picked Games and Fossil Games have announced that their title Sunshine Manor is now in full development following a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game managed to reach 134% of the funding goal and reached a total of £26,842 with the support of 627 backers. A release date for the game has not been announced at this point however we could look forward to a 2021 release since the game is now in full development.

All of the backers will receive the game as part of the Premium Edition Games Nintendo Switch physical Sunshine Anthology Edition along with the digital codes for PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions for Sunshine Manor and its sequel, Camp Sunshine. If you missed the Kickstarter campaign, you can still get your hands on the physical Nintendo Switch Sunshine Anthology as pre-orders will remain open for a limited time on them.

Along with this, the special Sunshine Edition and digital codes for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox can also be pre-ordered along with their exclusive goodies. These pre-orders will allow the developers to collect the funds and use them to reach the remaining Stretch Goals that the developers were unable to reach during the Kickstarter campaign of the game. Unlocking these Stretch Goals will add more features and additional content to the game.

Some of the features in these Stretch Goals include a chiptune remix for the Sunshine Manor soundtrack, a new costume, and power for main protagonist Ada, an extra mini-chapter, and many others. Paul Dolby, developer at Fossil Games said:

We really cannot express enough how grateful we are to everyone who jumped on the Sunshine Manor Kickstarter and pledged!. We’re excited to now move onto the next stage of development and can’t wait to share more information with everyone as we progress. During the campaign, we were inundated with requests for people wanting to support our game via PayPal, but had no Kickstarter account – and so, we’re really pleased to say that we’ve opened up a store for anyone who missed the opportunity to pledge, so they can pre-order our beautiful Nintendo Switch physical editions by Premium Edition Games.

Sunshine Manor is a horror game inspired by the horror movies of the 1980s. In the game, you step in the shoes of Ada who is out on a night of trick or treat but it turns into a night of terror when she becomes trapped inside the old Aitken Manor. You will be required to use Ada’s latent psychic powers to battle the demons found inside the manor and escape with your life.

Key features of Sunshine Manor include:

  • Discover and explore the ever-changing haunted Sunshine Manor.
  • Transport yourself to the Demon Realm and banish hellish fiends!
  • Beautiful hand-drawn 8-bit graphics.
  • A deadly game of Cat & Mouse where the Demon can be anywhere.
  • 80s Soundtrack written especially for this game.
  • A fantastic story-driven narrative.
  • Devious puzzles to tax your brain box.
  • Lots of scares, spooky scenes and nods to iconic horror franchises.
  • What happened in the old Aitken House that triggered the Camp Sunshine Massacre?

You can pre-order the game from the new store.
