Publisher Team17 and developer Ernestas Norvaisas have announced the launch of the third major update for Sweet Transit called Swift Expedition. Sweet Transit is currently available in early access, and this is the third major update for the unique city builder. Swift Expedition will launch Sweet Transit into a brand-new era of locomotive-led tycoonery with the addition of jet trains. These new jet trains are lightning-quick and perfect to transport a large number of passengers and cargo.

With the new update in place, Sweet Transit gets plenty of quality-of-life upgrades as well such as a full overhaul of the game’s user interface. It also brings double the number of trains players could get in the previous version of the game along with a ‘Natural Attractiveness’ bonus to player settlements. This new bonus can be attained by ensuring that all citizens are in close proximity to features of natural beauty such as mountains, trees, large bodies of water, and Hedges and statues that can be placed around residences.
Sweet Transit is a city builder game where the only mode of transportation and expansion is trains. You will start from a humble establishment and continue to expand into a fully thriving metropolis. You will get to experience the various eras of the railway from the introduction of steam engines to the invention of the combustion engine. The game will give you the opportunity to become the pioneer of the industry and work to keep your citizens happy through the interconnected world of the railway.
Sweet Transit is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access since July 2022, and the developer is releasing brand-new updates for the game periodically based on collected fan feedback. The Swift Expedition is part of this as well and as long as the game remains in its early access stage, the developer will continue to add new content to the game.
