In this The Division 2 Raid Guide, we will guide you on how you can prepare for The Division 2’s first raid Operation Dark Hours. The raid went live recently and it is not one of the toughest challenges that you can come across in The Division 2. It is also the first even eight-player raid in The Division franchise so it brings an extra punch with it.
Before you can start the Operation Dark Hours raid, it is important that you prepare well for it because you cannot simply jump in the raid and expect to clear it with other people carrying you through it. The raid is exceptionally difficult at this point and it will take each and every agent’s skill to clear the tough boss fights and other scenarios in the game.
The Division 2 Raid: Operation Dark Hours
Our The Division 2 Raid Guide will detail everything that you need to know in order to get ready and prepare to start Operation Dark Hours raid in The Division 2.
Pre-Requisites to Playing Operation Dark Hours
The brand new eight-player raid Operation Dark Hours in The Division 2 is no easy task to complete in The Division 2. This can be judged from the factor that at this point, very few teams around the world have been able to complete the raid, especially on consoles. Before you can actually jump in the raid, you need to complete certain things without which you do not have access to the raid.
To begin with, you must have completed the main story of the game. All eight players in the raid party must be level 30 and must be on the World Tier 5. In addition, all agents must have a Gear Score of at least 490. These are the bare requirements that each agent in the team must fulfill before they can take part in Operation Dark Hours raid.
If you are still playing the main story than your first focus should be to clear the main story all the way to the end. Once you are done with the main story, you can work towards reaching World Tier 5. You must play all of the game’s Strongholds and complete them including the new Tidal Basin stronghold which was added as a DLC.
After the completion of Tidal Basin, the game ends completely and then you will need to get creative with the end game to reach World Tier 5. You can complete some of the following activities to reach World Tier 5 easily.
Take Over Control Points
Upon reaching World Level 4, you will notice that Control Points will change in a specific way. There are different events around each Control Point such as public executions, supply convoys, random engagements, and propaganda broadcasts. Reach World Tier 4 and you will notice that these random events are all now connected to a specific location on the map.
Find such a location, zoom in and choose any random event that you want to complete. Once the event is complete, it will make the connected Control Point harder. Each time you complete an event, it will increase the level on the Control Points. Level 4 Control Points are the optimum level for taking over them considering the difficulty and the loot they give. You should be able to take over a Level 4 Control Point easily with the help of 2 or 3 good skilled agents on your side.
Complete Bounties
Once you are in the World Tiers, the bounties are very beneficial for reaching higher level World Tiers. To start a bounty, you will need to spend Intelligence however as you play the game and complete different tasks, you will automatically collect a decent amount of Intelligence so you do not have to worry about it too much.
You can check for different bounties by heading to the bounties tab on your map. Pick any bounty that you want to complete and then start it. Once the bounty is dead, you will complete the mission. In any region, you will find a different number of bounties. Complete all bounties in a region and you will unlock the Boss Bounty.
I will highly recommend that you complete bounties with your friends because bounties are not only difficult but they are also timed. You have to complete bounties within the stipulated time or else you will end up failing the mission. The boss bounties are exceptionally tough so you should never take on them alone unless you want to fail the bounty.
Explore the Dark Zones
The Dark Zones are the ultimate end game content for The Division 2. After you have completed Tidal Basin, there is not much to do in the base game apart from exploring the dark zones of the game. Unlike The Division, the second game comes with three different dark zones so you have more ground to cover this time around.
Dark Zones are the hardest PvE and PvP areas in The Division 2 as you will need to look out for enemy AI as well as human enemies. They also pack some serious loot so if you want to find some good loot, Dark Zones are your go-to area. I highly recommend that you go in a squad to explore Dark Zones because these are absolutely brutal and a lone wolf will hardly survive here.
These activities will help you reach World Tier 5 and once you have reached World Tier 5, you can finally jump in the Operation Dark Hours raid with seven other players. To start a raid, you must speak with the helicopter pilot outside the White House which will open the raid menu and allow you to begin the raid.
