Ubisoft has revealed that The Division 2 will feature three separate Dark Zones. Along with increased number of Dark Zones, Ubisoft is also implementing some very important changes that will welcome even low level players in the game.
When the original The Division was released back in 2006, the normal mode felt mediocre while the Dark Zone was the best part of the game. It introduced a very unique mode where you would never know what will happen next. Fans of the series are really looking forward to The Division 2 not because of its normal game mode but for the Dark Zones.
The recent announcement will surely please fans of Dark Zones that now they will have three unique Dark Zones in Washington D.C. to explore and rampage in. They will surround the map of the main game and are located in the East, West and South section of the map. Each Dark Zone is totally unique and has its own layout.
A brand new feature coming to Dark Zones is stat normalization. In the previous games, the low level players suffered a lot because of this. Hardcore players would simply eat through any newcomers and because of this very few low level players were ever found in the Dark Zone. In The Division 2, two of the Dark Zones will have stat normalization active at all times.
This means that everyone who enters these Dark Zones will have same stat weapons and armor which will ensure that only the best skilled players survive and not the best equipped. This will welcome low level players as they will get equal chance of success in Dark Zones like other high level players.
However, for hardcore Dark Zone fans, one of the Dark Zones will always be occupied Dark Zone which means that it will have the same rules as that of The Division 1. There will be no normalization, everything will be chaos and friendly fire will also remain on. This will rotate on a regular basis so you can experience all three Dark Zones like they really should be.
Apart from this, Dark Zones and overall multiplayer mechanics have also been drastically improved across the drawing board. Players will love the new mechanics and online connectivity has been massively improved over the last one right from the start. Ubisoft is also working on a new Rogue status mechanic.
You can go rogue in The Division 2 as well however this time new status levels are included in the game. This time if you decide to become the bad guy, you will need to work your way up the ladder by climbing certain ranks. Gone are the days when one simple bad act will make you the most wanted agent in the game.
Overall The Division 2 is appearing to be a massive improvement over the first title. With not much time left in its launch, Ubisoft is gradually revealing more and more information about the game and we cannot wait for the game to finally come out. The Division 2 is coming out on March 15, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
