NACON and Daedalic Entertainment have announced that they have signed a co-publishing and distribution agreement for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. However, with the announcement, the co-publishers have also announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will now release in 2022 instead of its initially announced 2021 release. The game is coming out on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Confirmed platforms along with a confirmed release date will be announced later.
The two publishers have announced that they have joined forces together to ensure that the game meets the expectations of fans of The Lords of the Rings franchise and fully leverage the power of the new generation of consoles. The game will feature a faithful representation universe thanks to the partnership with Middle-earth Enterprises as the company holds the adaptation rights to the novel series by J.R.R. Tolkien.

It is up to you to decide whether the darker side of Gollum takes over or if there is a spark of reason left in what once was Sméagol.
With two publishing giants behind the project, we can expect the work on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum to speed up and finally see it coming out in 2022.
