Respawn Clears Out Rumors That Titanfall 3 is not in Development

Respawn Entertainment has cleared all rumors and speculations by announcing that they are not working on Titanfall 3 at this moment. The only title under development at their studio was Apex Legends which was released last night.

This was revealed by lead producer Drew McCoy in an exclusive interview to Eurogamer when he talked about Respawn’s latest surprise release. McCoy stated that the main plan was to release a title which was perfect at launch and rather than creating hype with trailers and announcement, release a product that speaks for itself.

His official words were

To try and convince a skeptical audience for months with trailers and hands-on articles, we’re just like ‘let the game speak for itself’—it’s the most powerful antidote to potential problems. The world thinks we’re making Titanfall 3 and we’re not—this is what we’re making.

Fans were eagerly waiting for an announcement by Respawn on Titanfall 3 because Titanfall 2 was a stellar entry in the franchise and it greatly improved in every aspect than the first title in the franchise. It also featured a decent campaign in the franchise.

At this point, Drew McCoy has cleared any rumors and speculations that Titanfall 3 is currently not in development. Fans of the franchise can play Apex Legends which is a solid entry nonetheless. It might lack titans but the gunplay is true to Titanfall franchise’s core.

It also has a lot of other unique mechanics which sets it apart from other free-to-play battle royale games currently out in the market. At this point there is no word on whether Respawn wants to make Titanfall 3 in the future but we will surely update you guys if something comes up.
