This Tribes of Midgard Geirröðr Boss Guide will show you how to beat one of the main bosses in the game, Geirröðr. This ice giant that is basically a whole frozen lake turned into the shape of a human, comes with a few attacks that you have to watch out for.
As with any boss in the game, Geirröðr has a few weaknesses and can be easily dealt with if you have the right strategy to beat him.

Below we have detailed how to beat Geirröðr, what his attacks are and how you should fight.
How to Beat Geirröðr
Before you head into the fight, you need to know a couple of things that are the boss’ weaknesses and what is the best weapon you should take in the battle. Unsurprisingly, Geirröðr is weak to fire, which is obvious because he is made of ice. Having a Ranger class that has many Fire attacks can be the most beneficial in this fight as the boss will be weak to most attacks.
The second is to have a long-ranged weapon like a bow. This is because Geirröðr’s attacks are focused near the boss itself, especially with its ground pound attack that produces spiky icicles from the ground. This attack sends a shockwave all around the boss but it does not have a lot of range as it stops after medium distance.
The ground pound attack starts with an animation showing the boss slamming his fist on the ground in front, which then sends a shockwave out, producing icy spikes. You do not have to worry about the initial slam as it does no damage, but the only thing in this attack that deals any damage are the icy spikes if you get hit by them. The attack can be anticipated, and the animation is not that fast, giving you plenty of time to run away from the boss.
The second attack is the ice ball projectiles it hurls at your location. This is another attack that the boss prefers when you are up close, wanting to mix into the attacks. The ice balls smash on the ground and splatter in a small shockwave radius, which is significantly smaller than the ground pound attack.
Your strategy should be to be on the move at all times, and sneaking in for a few hits as the boss is about to attack. Alternatively, if you want to play it safe, hitting the boss with your arrow will also work in defeating Geirröðr.
