Ultimate Games S.A. has just announced Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2, which will be the sequel of the bestselling first title in the series. The game is set to launch for both consoles and PC. The new title is going to launch with various new features and improvements.
The developer detailed that Ultimate Fishing Simulator will feature vastly improved graphics, a third-person view, and new dynamic water and fish AI system. The first title in the series, Ultimate Fishing Simulator was launched back in 2018 for PC. According to the developers the game that the community is 115k people strong and that the total number of sold add-ons has exceeded 100 thousand. In addition, the VR edition of the game that was also released a few months ago was popular.
Talking about the second title in the series, the CEO of Ultimate Game S.A. Mateusz Zawadzki talked about the new features that the team has planned for the game.
We are planning more improvements and the introduction of a living fish system, based, among others, on the time of day. This way the fish will move around the entire fishery, but it will depend on some values. For example, a fish will move from point X to Y at feeding time, and during rest time it will seek shelter and swim from point Y to Z.
We are also planning, among other novelties, assigning individual species of fish to different parts of the fishery, to reflect reality as much as possible. Thanks to this, predators could live in areas with dense vegetation, and e.g. carp would stick to places near the sandy bottom or hideouts made of tree branches.

- diverse fisheries based on real locations;
- maps with different seasons;
- various fishing techniques (spinning, float, ground, fly fishing, sea
- fishing, ice fishing, and surfcasting);
- several dozen types of fish;
- new dynamic water and fish AI systems;
- FPP or TPP view;
- boats, skills, trophies;
- extended multiplayer mode;
- licensed fishing equipment (such as Sakura).
Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is set to release in the second half of 2020, where it will be releasing for PC on Steam Early Access. The launch for consoles which includes next generation as well is planned for 2021.
