VergeWorld Tiny Teams 2023

Developer Bad Bones and publisher Retrovibe have announced the release of their high-speed combat racer, VergeWorld. The game will launch this Fall 2022 on PC, bringing its fast-paced action with unique retro esthetics.

The game was revealed at the recent IGN Expo digital event, while a playable demo is available on Steam as of right now.

Watch the reveal trailer of VergeWorld below:

Fly, crash, and adapt in this post-apocalyptic high-speed combat racing roguelite. VergeWorld mixes procedurally generated intense action and airship customization with the retro PSX-era 3D visuals and synthwave music.

In this retro-fueled, fast-paced roguelite combat raver, you will be flying through procedurally generated canyons while shooting enemies, gathering resources, and completing all sorts of challenges.

You play as Nix, a rebellious member of the ruling class in the distant future, on the inhospitable planet Gh204-B. Hidden behind his mask, Nix will steal an experimental airship called Icarus, and run to the edges of the civilization to find and join the revolt.

The game mixes high replayability with the nostalgic retro feeling of the PSX-era 3D visuals, pixel art story scenes, 16-bit tunes, and a synthwave soundtrack.

Although the developers have said that the game is coming to PC this Fall, the team is also planning a console release in the future. We won’t have to wait that long for details, as more information will be revealed this summer.
