Stealth Guide – Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood

Our Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Stealth Guide details everything that you need to know about stealth in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood.

Use Your Penumbra Vision

Your Penumbra Vision is a great tool for sneaking around. When you use it, it will allow you to look for enemies in the surroundings even through walls and all other objects that you can interact with. Enemies are marked in red while interactable items are marked in white. It will also show which terminals are connected to which locks and cameras. It is a great tool and comes is great use in stealth. Every time you enter a new environment, you must always use it to find your enemies and other useful items in the game.

Stick to Lupus

Lupus is your wolf-form and also the most agile and stealthy form in the game. For stealth sections, I will highly recommend that you stick with Lupus and do not use Cahal’s normal human form for sneaking around. If you purchase the skill Camouflage later in the game, you can make it even harder for enemies to spot Lupus as you are sneaking around. Sticking to Lupus is also pretty convenient because you can turn back to Cahal quickly if you interact with anything around you. Lupus also can jump around silently so you can quickly jump over obstacles and run away before an enemy comes along.

Takedown Unsuspecting Enemies

As you are sneaking around, if you see a lone enemy and you have the option to take them down quickly, always go for the kill. Silent kills give you Rage and a free corridor. Sometimes you are almost at the goal and that one enemy that you could have killed, sees you and blows your cover so while you should avoid enemies in bigger numbers, you must kill enemies who are alone. If sneaking behind them is not an option, take out your crossbow and shoot them. One headshot will silently take out an enemy.

Use Hidden Paths and Vents

For sneaking around, there are multiple hidden paths in each level that will allow you to sneak around levels as Lupus. These vents are marked with orange lights so you can turn into Lupus and get access to these vents and sneak around. Some of these vents and paths will take you to potential locations giving you an edge. These could be near your objectives or behind enemies that were otherwise difficult to approach from the front side. You should always look for these vents and use them to sneak around. You can also use them to lose enemies if they spot you before they sound the alarm.

Turn Off Security Cameras

As you are sneaking around different facilities, you will often come across security cameras that can detect you in their radius and sound the alarm. You can see their viewing range in red on the ground under them. You must try to avoid these red circles at all times. Always look for their patterns and then plan your route ahead. You can skip them as well by using another path or you can even turn them off. You can use your Penumbra Vision to see all interactable items on the screen and look for terminals around you. Interact with terminals and if they have access to the cameras, turn them off. You are able to turn off nearly all of the cameras in the game but some of them cannot be turned off so you have to look for other options.

Use Your Electric Bolts

If turning off cameras from the terminals is not an option, you can invest in one of the skills earlier in the game that will grant you access to electrical bolts that can disable cameras. The name of the skill is called Electric Bolts. Purchase this skill and you can then use your crossbow to shoot electric bolts at security cameras that will help you to disable them without needing access to a terminal. Make sure that you unlock this skill as soon as possible because it only needs one Spirit Point.

Sabotage Reinforcements

While this may actually work when you engage the combat mode, you must always sabotage any reinforcement doors that you come across in the game. Unlike most games where reinforcements could come from anyway, here in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood they only come from marked doors and nearly all of them have a tampering box near them. If you sabotage the doors, all enemies that come through that door will get damaged as soon as they enter the door so while you are sneaking around, make sure that you sabotage these reinforcement doors just in case.
