Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World Release Date

ININ Games and STUDIARTDINK have just revealed a new trailer of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World. The first official trailer of the game was shown at the Awesome Indies show at Gamescom 2020.

The game is a fully remastered version of Wonder Boy IV from 1994. The original team is working on the new Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World, which will release at the beginning of next year for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The new gameplay trailer shows some of the areas and the enemies that you will find in the remastered game when it releases. The video also compares how the newly remastered game looks as opposed to the old game, Wonder Boy IV. The trailer also mentions that the fully remastered game is developed by the original Westone team, the people who made the original title.

Asha, the warrior protagonist of the game, is involved in a serious incident that will affect the survival of her world. Our green-haired heroine doesn’t have to save the world all alone, and sets off on an adventure with her cute flying friend, the blue Pepelogoo. Asha and the Pepelogoo have to work together to become the heroes the world needs them to be.

For Wonder Boy – Asha in Monster World, the original staff from the former Westone Bit Entertainment gathered together to create a game that stays true to the spirit of the original games. The team is led, and directed, by the creator of the Wonder Boy series, Ryuichi Nishizawa and supported by Shinichi Sakamoto (sound), Maki Ōzora (character design) and Takanori Kurihara (creative management).
