Shogi
To play Shogi, you have to find the homeless guy sitting north of the homeless camp. He will not only play the game with you but here you can also play ranked matches, challenges, and puzzles. Shogi is similar to what we call Chess however it comes with its own set of pieces.
Can Quest
Can Quest is a substory and it is highly doubtful that you will miss it. During this activity, you have to collect cans while riding a bike in the homeless area. Apart from you, there are other collectors as well so you will need to take them out and steal their cans as well to win at the end with energy drinks.
Seagull Cinema
The Seagull Cinema is located at the corner of Ijin Street where it leads to Otohime Land. Here, your goal is to try and stay awake in order to make it through the whole film. Sheep will try to put you to sleep and you have to try your best in order to stay awake.
Batting Center
If you need to do some batting, head down to the MIRAI Batting Center at the northwest of Ijinco.
Hostess Cabaret Clubs
There are two Hostess Cabaret Clubs in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. One of them is related to the main story mission and you will visit it during Chapter 5. Named Lin Lin Hostess Bar, is located in Ijin Street and it is a Chinese hostess bar. The second one is called Rose Blossom Cabaret and it is located in the Red Light District in the same street where you will find Otohime Land. You can go to these Hostess Cabaret Clubs and mingle with different hostesses there while eating some food. They will restore your allies’ HP and MP as well.
Arcade Machine Centers
There are two arcade machine centers in Yakuza: Like a Dragon and both of them have different games that you can play in your free time. One of them is located in the North-Eastern part of Ijincho. It is at the end of Chinatown and it has three games for you to play including Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Space Harrier, and Super Hang-On. The second arcade machine center is located inside the Tsurkame Alley. You can access it via W Central St. while heading to Hello Work. It has arcade machines for Virtua Fighter 2, Out Run, and Fantasy Zone
Karaoke Bar
There is just one Karaoke Bar in the game, and you will find is located in Survive Bar. You cannot access this bar unless you have unlocked it first while playing the story. Keep playing the main story and you will eventually unlock it.
Richi Mahjong
Mahjong returns in Yakuza: Like a Dragon and there are two places where you can play some Mahjong. First, you can find Citron Mahjong located in the south of Koreatown. It is located inside a basement and you will find some low-tier games here. If you need some high rollers, you can head over to Vista Mahjong located on Pier Street in Chinatown. Ounabara Vocational School
You can taker some vocational tests and increase Ichiban’s personality stats at the Ounabara Vocational School. It is located northeast of Jinnai Station. Head to the center of the map and you will find it pretty easily.
Dragon Kart
To unlock this mini game, you first have to complete the Substory called ‘Welcome to Dragon Kart!’. This substory is triggered automatically when you start his activity for the first time. You can initiate the substory by heading to the Hamakita Park located on the north-east part of Ijincho. Complete the first substory and then you get access to different cups that you can compete in and win races. Cups are unlocked as you progress in the main story of the game.
Business Management
After you reach Chapter 5 of the game, you will complete the substory names ‘Ijincho’s Safety Net’ which will introduce you to the world of investments. Once done, you can later invest in new businesses and earn a lot of money in the long run as well. You get a lot of smaller activities in these businesses as well such as recruiting new staff, training them, and also coping up with the shareholders. You can start these activities by heading to your office located above Ichiban Confections.
Slot Machines

Gambling is one of the hardest mini game to unlock in the game. You have two gambling dens in Yakuza: Like a Boss but you have to unlock both of them first. The very first one is located down the stairs at the Kinka Bridge. Look for these stairs across the Kinka Pharmacy. Make sure that your Confidence is Level 4 otherwise the guys at the stairs will not let you through. The second gambling den is hidden inside the men’s room at the casino located next to Breakwater Drive. You must have your Style at Level 4 to access this entrance of the gambling den.
Darts
Head to the bar called Bee at Bayside St., north from the Jinnai Station and you can play some darts.
Golf
If you fancy some golf, there is a Golf Court located on the Kinka St., northwest of the Jinnai Station.
