Publisher Team17 Digital and developer Crowbar Collective have announced their latest project Rogue Point. Rogue Point is a new tactical shooter with a unique rogue-lite element infused in the gameplay. Set in a cutthroat world where the wealthiest CEO has died, leaving his corporate empire up for grabs, Rogue Point pits you against a ruthless network of business tycoons who, with a simple app, can hire mercenaries as effortlessly as ordering food. The game introduces Rogue Point, a vigilante group determined to put an end to this corporate war.
In Rogue Point, you assemble teams of up to four members to tackle intense missions and disrupt mercenary forces hired by rival conglomerates. Combining strategy and fast-paced combat, the game emphasizes adaptable gameplay and a wide array of missions. A dynamic rogue-lite system ensures no two playthroughs are alike, providing a fresh experience with every run.

The game offers an extensive selection of features that enrich its tactical depth. You can unlock a variety of cosmetics, weapons, and campaign modifiers to customize their loadouts for specific mission requirements. Each mercenary class, known as MERX, poses unique challenges, requiring you to strategize and adjust your tactics. The rogue-lite element allows operators to evolve their skills over time, ensuring each team member grows in both ability and adaptability.
Rogue Point features a unique Parametric Design System that reshapes mission maps across four distinct environments, giving you a constantly changing battlefield. This approach allows for new tactics and keeps missions fresh, enhancing replayability as you adapt to evolving layouts and enemy positions.
Ann Hurley, General Manager of Team17 Digital, praised the collaboration, highlighting Crowbar Collective’s reputation in the shooter genre after their success with Black Mesa. “We’re excited to expand our shooter offerings and are thrilled to partner with FPS veterans Crowbar Collective,” Hurley said, noting that Rogue Point represents an ambitious leap forward in the genre.
Crowbar Collective’s CEO and Project Lead, Adam Engels, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, especially as the team ventures into a new intellectual property. He credited Team17’s support in allowing Crowbar Collective to focus on both development and community engagement. The developers are aiming to shape Rogue Point through feedback, much as they did during Black Mesa’s Early Access period.
Rogue Point is slated for a 2025 release as the developers will continue to reveal additional information about the game in the upcoming days. If you are interested in staying in the loop for upcoming announcements and information drops regarding the game, you can head over to its official Steam page and add the game to your wishlist.
