Bandai Namco Reveals Multiplayer Details for Ace Combat 7, New F-14D Trailer

Ace Combat 7

Bandai Namco have revealed new details for Ace Combat 7 which shows the multiplayer aspect of Ace Combat 7. The new trailer shows two brand new features of Ace Combat 7 which include the Battle Royale mode and the Team Deathmatch mode. These online modes will keep players busy for a long time once they are done with the main story of the game.

Check out the new screenshots below before we jump into more details on the multiplayer modes.

In online, players will be able to play Team Deathmatch and Battle Royale. Battle Royale mode is not like the current trend of ongoing Battle Royale. It is actually the normal dogfight mode where eight players will fight each other for air supremacy. Players will need to shoot down others and be the last one surviving to win.

The match has two conditions, a time and a winning score. The first player to reach the target score wins or if the time runs out, the player will the highest score wins the game. This is not your traditional Battle Royale mode but only a fancy name for the normal multiplayer mode so you can rest easy. It is not following the Battle Royale formula.

The second online mode revealed for the game is the Team Deathmatch. In this mode, players will be teamed up against another team where they will fight until the last team is left standing. Each team will have four players and they will earn score by damaging and destroying the opponents.

For winning in Team Deathmatch, same rules apply for winning here. There will be a winning score point and there will be a time limit as well. If the target score is met before the time ends, the team will win. If the match time runs out, the team with the highest score will be the winner.

One unique thing in Ace Combat 7 is that if someone lands a kill or damages someone who plays good in the game will get more points. Players earn stars in the game based on how good they are playing the game. This ranking ranges from one star to three stars. Stars are gained the more players participate in the game and perform good.

Both online modes will support eight players and both will have similar rules to each other. Only that one is team based while the other one is solo so you can pick whichever you want to jump in and take down some planes.  We had previously seen customization for the campaign mode but these new details show that players will be able to customize their planes for the online mode as well.

Online modifications will include different loadouts, airplane parts and different emblems. Cosmetic skins are also included in the game which will allow players to change their planes appearance and make them unique while they fight other players across the globe. Some of the upgrades will be unique to online mode and players cannot access them in the single player mode.

Just recently Bandai Namco has also revealed a new trailer showcasing the F-14D fighter plane which will be featured in the game. Check it out below.

Ace Combat 7 is slated for release on PS4 and Xbox One on January 18, 2019 and PC on February 1, 2019.
