Firewall: Zero Hour Free for PS Plus Members, Gets New DLC Content

First Contact Entertainment and Sony Interactive Entertainment have been working to bring the VR Shooting game Firewall: Zero Dawn over at the PlayStation 4 for free. The game will be available tomorrow for PS Plus members, and will also receive its third DLC.

Damoun Shabestari who is a Game Director at First Contact Entertainment, announced in a blog post on the PlayStation blog, that a new DLC is set to arrive tomorrow for those who have already purchased Firewall: Zero Hour. What’s more is that the game will be available for free to PS Plus members.

The contents of DLC include a brand new map that will be free to play and bring the number of maps to ten. The new DLC which is called The Containment will have players in an infectious disease laboratory, where several unique areas will create an intense and epic showdown and shootout. He also noted at the end of the blog that the developers are committed to supporting the game with long-term updates and DLC

In addition, players will also be getting a 2019 Ornament Trinket, that can be attached to any weapon of your choice, and will be available from today till 5 January.

Firewall: Zero Hour is a VR-exclusive game for PlayStation 4. The game was launched back in late August this year and was received with generally positive reviews.

There are more items that are coming for the game, that can be purchased from the PS Store. Items include new cosmetics like new clothing and weapon camos are all being available. The new camos that are coming at the Store are Dark Carbon, Banana, Amphibious, and Hologram. There are also more Trinkets that you can purchase for your weapons such as Baseball, Basketball, Pigskin, and Soccer Ball.

The game is also coming with a lot of other improvements to matchmaking times, squad matchmaking capabilities, anti-aliasing options, and weapon offset options. Other things that are coming in the DLC are:

  • Addition of implementation to deal with idle (“AFK”) players
  • Addition of the ability to speak with your teammates during loading screens
  • Addition of Contractor eye movement in the lobby

As mentioned before, the game is now free for PS Plus members over at the PlayStation Store. The game requires a Sony VR Headset and PlayStation 4 Pro console.
