A brand new trailer of Devil May Cry 5 showed off the new character V in action, where he can be seen using his summon ability in combat. V is of the focus in the new trailer that shows his combat skills and what his three demon summons can do.
V is going to the third playable character in Devil May Cry 5, as was confirmed by Capcom earlier. His combat style looks well different from the other two characters in the game; Nero and Dante. He does not look to be that quick and agile as the other two, but fights along a series of summoned beasts.
Take a look at the new trailer that features V in his true combat style:
The trailer that shows off the summoning powers of V features the three creatures called Shadow, Griffon, and Nightmare. Whereby he lets the creatures do the fighting, while standing nearby or even on top of them. It is a totally different type of fighting that we are used to seeing considering the combat styles of Nero and Dante who love to be up close and personal with their targets.
But V is not dependent on just his creatures as he has his difference against the hero fo the game, Dante, expressing that Dante should never have existed, while he holds a sword over his head, ready to swing.
Capcom has also had their say about V and his fighting style by saying that, “ V may appear weak next to Nero and Dante,” but he has “the ability to unleash a unique fighting style that seems him summon three different demons to assist in battle.
Capcom has also released a little detail about the three beasts that V can summon:
- Shadow: A swift, four-legged panther-like creature with savage agility that sees him change his shape into sharp blades and needles for perfectly executed close-range attacks.
- Griffon: A bird-like demon possessing aerial combat skills which allows him to carry V across Red Grave City and shoot lightning bolts at enemies from up above.
- Nightmare: The most powerful of V’s demons. Nightmare’s gigantic size sees him destroy enemies with just his basic attack, and he can also fire beams of light to destroy any approaching foes.
Devil May Cry 5 launches on 8 March, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. However, you can play the demo that is available on Xbox One right now.
