According to a recent ESRB listing, it seems like Serious Sam HD collection is heading to PS4 as well. The latest ESRB rating is suggesting that the game will come out on both PS4 and Xbox One.
This is not the first time that classic Serious Sam games are coming to modern consoles. Previously, this collection was released on PS3 and Xbox 360. The collection comes with four games which include
- Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter
- Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter
- Serious Sam 3: BFE
- Serious Sam: Double D XXL
These four games will be heading to PS4 and Xbox One as well soon according to the latest ESRB listing. Further details have not been released at this moment but we can be certain that the all games included in the HD collection will have even more improved visuals than the last generation HD collection and higher resolution support.
An official announcement about the title has not been made at this point. Since 2019 is just around the corner, we can expect the announcement coming soon about the HD collection. Both PS4 and Xbox One versions will receive the same treatment but there is another possibility that since PS4 has a VR headset, Serious Sam’s VR games might come to PS4 as well.
The possibility of VR games coming to PS4 is a long-shot but there’s no harm in hoping for the best. It will be a great addition to PSVR’s library if it actually happens. There’s also a chance that Croteam might release PSVR versions at a later time so we will keep our fingers crossed.
The first title was initially released in 2001 and it was liked by fans. After the first game’s success, the franchise expanded to sequels and more titles later on with the latest one being a VR title which we are hoping that it might come to PSVR in the future.
