Skybound Games has released a new trailer for the third episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The episode “Broken Toys” features Clementine preparing for war, and the episode will be available on 15 January.

In the trailer we get a sneak peak into where we left off with the second episode “Suffer the Children”, and Clementine and the crew search for their kidnapped friends. The trailer details most of what is to be expected and where the game left off., so take a look at the trailer below.

The trailer shows Clementine torturing a person for answers and them some rather dramatic hints at major plot developments.  We even get to see some clever tactics that have to be utilized to get inside a post-apocalyptic fortress, setting up a great battle that is to come in the series.

The biggest surprise that came in the trailer was the appearance of Lee, the protagonist on Season One. In the finals scenes of the trailer, a young Clementine and Lee are in an open train car, travelling across the state. While Lee is off the camera, his voice calling her nickname “Sweetpea” gave the hint that it is indeed Lee. Though the scene appears to be a flashback, it is unclear how it will be featured in the game.

The Walking Dead: The Final Seas continues from the studios of Skybound Games after it was acquired by Telltale Games last year. Things seem to be going very well for the game as the episodes are now confirmed to be coming out without any more delays, as previously speculated that they would be.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 3: Broken Toys will release on 15 January, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store.
