In a recent tweet, WB and NetherRealm Studios has announced that Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay will be revealed at their upcoming January 17 reveal event.

Earlier, WB and NetherRealm revealed the official box art for the game and announced that a special reveal event will take place on January 17 during which more details will be revealed about the game.

The latest official Tweet now states that the January 17 reveal event will showcase Mortal Kombat’s gameplay as well. Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed back during The Game Awards 2018 and it did not share much information about the game.

The tweet mentions the gameplay as ‘Brutal. Bloody. Brash.’ Considering the franchise’s history, we can be certain that the upcoming title will be the goriest and the bloodiest Mortal Kombat game to date.

The teaser trailer featured a cinematic trailer which was not actually gameplay so we still have yet to see the actual game in action. It featured Scorpion and Raiden going head to head in a deadly bone crunching battle.

Apart from this we also do not know anything about the character roster of the title at this point. January 17 reveal event is also said to reveal more information about game’s story, characters and new features coming in the game.

Fans will be able to watch the event live on Twitch, YouTube and other streaming sites around the globe. Details on this will be revealed soon as well so keep checking back for an exact time for the live streaming of the event.

Just like previous titles, Mortal Kombat 11 will also feature some guest character appearances. Some rumors are suggesting that Pennywise from It franchise might be featured in Mortal Kombat 11.

Mortal Kombat 11 is slated for release on PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on April 23, 2019.
