AMD motherboards are designed by ASMedia, which has been the case in the past but it seems that the company is designing the AMD X570 motherboards itself. Reports claim that while the A-series and B-series motherboards will be designed by ASMedia the new X570 motherboards will be made by AMD.
We do not know why AMD is doing this but it could mean that these motherboards will have better support for CPUs and graphics cards. The X570 series is going to be the top of the line motherboard series for AMD platform and that might be the reason why AMD is designing it itself. We will keep you updated regarding why this is the case, so stay tuned for more information regarding the matter.
Reports also claim that the new motherboards will be based on the 12nm process from TSMC which will be much better than X470’s 28nm lithography. We also know that the new motherboard will support PCIe 4.0. This will be the first time that this new standard will be available in the market. These motherboards will use the AM4 socket and will provide support for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 3000 series CPUs that AMD teased at CES 2019.
If you have an older motherboard and want to get the new CPUs then that will be alright as well as the socket is the same. All you need to do is update the BIOS. The new AMD Ryzen 3000 chips are supposed to launch in mid-2019. We have already spotted some X570 motherboards from ASRock which are as follows:
- ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming X
- ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 6
- ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4
- ASRock X570 Extreme4
- ASRock X570 Taichi
- ASRock X570 Pro4
- ASRock X570 Pro4 R2.0
- ASRock X570M Pro4
- ASRock X570M Pro4 R2.0
Recently we have spotted mentions of upcoming AMD Navi graphics cards and we have also spotted a processor that could power the upcoming next-generation consoles.
Let us know what you think about AMD X570 motherboards and whether or not you are interested in upgrading to the AMD Ryzen 3000 series when the chips are released.
