Nintendo Switch is getting some of the classic Final Fantasy games that were originally released on the PlayStation console. The first to be released is Final Fantasy 9, which is already available right now at the Nintendo eShop.

Square Enix and Nintendo are working together to bring the Final Fantasy classic Games on the Nintendo Switch, and bringing the series back to Nintendo, which was once called the home for Final Fantasy. Square also announced the game to be coming out for the Xbox One and PC.

The first announcement for the games on the Switch console was announced in last year’s Nintendo Direct Event held in September 2018. There are more Final Fantasy games that will release this year. Final Fantasy 7 is another classic that will be releasing on 26 March, while Final Fantasy 12, 10, and 10-2 are expected to come out on 16 April of this year.

All four titles are remastered versions of the classic games, which are also heading to the Xbox One this year as well. Final Fantasy IX was first launched back in 2000 for the PlayStation, and re-released as a remastered version for the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017 and 2016. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy VII is a classic from 1997, also re-released for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.

Square Enix has also announced previously that Final Fantasy: The Crystal Chronicles will be getting a PS4 and Switch port, but there is no confirmed date for the release as of yet.

You can get your hands on Final Fantasy 9 for $21 right now at the Nintendo eShop. Fans can now relive the unforgettable moments from the ground-breaking RPG that revolutionized gaming. The beloved Final Fantasy 7 is finally making its way for the Switch and fans can be able to play it on the go.
